Jodie Ellis holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Texas Tech University and became a licensed architect in Texas in 2005. Her early exposure to accessibility design during college evolved into a lifelong commitment after personal experiences with her family highlighted the challenges of inaccessible environments. With over 15 years of experience in designing for accessibility, she became a Registered Accessibility Specialist for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation in 2015. Jodie combines her professional expertise and personal insights to advocate for creating inclusive spaces that meet diverse needs.

Sandy Stannard, a licensed architect in California, is a professor at Cal Poly, where she teaches architecture courses with a focus on ecological awareness and sensitivity. She has enriched the course with updates to reflect the most recent advancements in the field. The original course content was authored by Muhammad A. Siddiqui, a licensed architect in Michigan, California, and Texas, who brings over 30 years of professional architectural experience. Together, their expertise ensures a comprehensive and up-to-date learning experience.

Stephen Hagan is recognized as an industry expert on technology innovation, real estate, and the construction marketplace. In August 2012, Stephen retired from the federal government after 37 years and is now consulting about BIM, Innovation and Online Technologies. Steve is President | CEO of Hagan Technologies LLC in Reston, VA. Stephen is currently a member of the AIA Documents Committee. Stephen was program and project management lead for the U.S. General Services Administration Public Buildings Service (GSA PBS) Project Information Portal (PIP) and a founding member of the GSA 3D/4D Building Information Model (BIM) team.
David Walters, RIBA, APA is an English architect, urban designer, town planner and a tenured full professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the USA. Walters qualified as an architect in 1972 after completing undergraduate and graduate degrees with honors in architecture and urban design from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Ravi Srinivasan, is an Associate Professor of Low/Net Zero Buildings and the Director of UrbSys Lab at the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management, University of Florida. His research interests are Modeling, Simulation, and Visualization of net zero campuses and Smart Cities.
For eleven years Walters taught and practiced in England, where he won national awards for housing and urban design. In 1983 he resigned his Senior Lectureship at Plymouth Polytechnic, now Plymouth University, and moved to the USA. Once in the U.S., Walters began teaching and practicing in Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma before joining the Charlotte faculty in 1990.
Paul Spite is a graduate of Ball State University, and he is a licensed professional architect in multiple states. By inclination, he is a seeker of knowledge. Paul is also an experienced President with a demonstrated history of working in the design industry. He is skilled in Land Development, Feasibility Studies, Renovation, Construction, and Sustainable Design. He is a strong business development professional with two bachelor’s degrees focused on Architecture and Environmental Design.
Gene Payson is a contract sUAS pilot for the USAF, chief pilot for Unmanned Vehicle University and chief pilot for AngelEyesUAV. He has been operating remotely pilot vehicles since 1968 and has accumulated over 20,000 hours of flight time. He has designed, developed and flown dozens of aircraft. He has trained hundreds of sUAS pilots. He has a manned pilot certificate and flies airplanes and helicopters, as well as a remote pilot in command (FAA part 107) certificate flying both rotory and fixed wing aircraft. He offers a variety of hands on sUAS training courses on many types of sUAS and is available as a freelance pilot to acquire aerial data.
Tuvia Poliskin, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, BPSM, is the principal of T2 Design + Architecture, with over 30 years’ experience in project types ranging from multi-family housing, food service, retail, work environments, health clubs, mix-use occupancies, and renovation of landmark buildings. Tuvia has also been an instructor at UC Berkeley and Bellevue College, where he taught courses in Principles & Elements of Design, Building Components & Systems, Building Codes, and Professional Business Practice. He is a licensed practicing architect in Washington, California, and Indiana.
Steve Preins is an IDECC Certified Distance Learning Instructor and has been training home inspectors for over 30 years. He started his home inspection training career working for Kaplan many years ago before opening Quality Education Group in 1998 offering continuing education for home inspectors and Inspection Certification Associates offering pre-licensing home inspection training. Steve is a former member of the ASHI Board of Directors as well as a recipient of the highly esteemed ASHI President’s Award. Steve also has run his own successful multi-inspector company in Illinois and has multiple degrees in Architecture and Construction Management.
Luis Sanchez With 3 decades of experience working in a Community Development Department, Luis Sanchez, a licensed architect, has developed effective strategies for better project reviews. With insights on how planning jurisdiction staff analyze, review, and react to project proposals, his courses are an eye opener for both experienced and newer design professionals and project developers.
Muhammad A Siddiqui, AIA Currently working as Project Manager with a large international EPC company where responsibilities over the past 15 years have included management of several large projects. Among these have been several buildings requiring blast resistant buildings. Other specialize design conditions have included modular construction and facilities in remote locations or extreme climates.
Previously Mr. Siddiqui has worked with a major consulting company, specializing in Energy, Construction (EPC), and Healthcare. Other areas of focus included program management and leadership, strategic planning, project and organizational turnaround work involving operational optimization and revenue enhancement solutions.
Mr. Siddiqui has also owned and managed a design and planning professional practice and worked for Architectural firms on projects ranging from commercial and healthcare to industrial and experimental designs.
Mr. Siddiqui is also active as part of the adjunct faculty with the College of Technology, University of Houston, Houston.
Philip Proefrock, AIA, LEED-AP Philip Proefrock, AIA, LEED-AP is a licensed architect in southeast Michigan with more than 25 years of experience in a wide range of residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional projects, including several which have won regional sustainability and design awards. He has been a LEED instructor for both building professionals and students, and has taught courses in sustainable design and sustainable systems. He has written about technology and sustainability for a variety of outlets, most notably as Senior Contributing Editor focusing on building technologies for EcoGeek.org. He is a graduate of Cranbrook Academy of Art (MFA) and Miami University (M Arch). He presently holds architectural licenses in Michigan, Florida, and Colorado.
